(1)

A scheme of reconnaissance or prospecting prepared and submitted under rule 4 may be modified at any time on geological considerations by the holder of a reconnaissance permit or prospecting licence or prospecting license-cum-mining lease or as directed by the Controller General and Regional Controller or the authorised officer, as the case may be, during continuance of the reconnaissance or prospecting operations.

(2)

Any modification carried out under sub-rule (1) shall be intimated to the Controller General and Regional Controller or the authorised officer, as the case may be, by the holder of a reconnaissance permit or prospecting licence or prospecting license-cum-mining lease within a period of thirty days of carrying out such modification.
