Suspension or cancellation of driving licence on conviction. - (1) Without prejudice to the provisions of sub-section (3) of section 20 where a person, referred to in sub-section (1) of section 21 is convicted of an offence of causing, by such dangerous driving as is referred to in section 184 of any class or description of motor vehicle the death of, or grievous hurt to, one or more persons, the Court by which such person is convicted may cancel, or suspend for such period as it may think fit, the driving licence held by such person insofar as it relates to that class or description of motor vehicle
Power of State Government to make rules. - (1) A State Government may make rules for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this Chapter
Transfer of certificate of insurance. - (1) Where a person, in whose favour the certificate of insurance has been issued in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter, transfers to another person the ownership of the motor vehicle in respect of which such insurance was taken together with the policy of insurance relating thereto, the certificate of insurance and the policy described in the certificate shall be deemed to have been transferred in favour of the person to whom the motor vehicle is transferred with effect from the date of its transfer
Punishment of [agents, canvassers and aggregators] without proper authority. - [(1)] Whoever engages himself as an agent or canvasser in contravention of the provisions of section 93 or of any rules made thereunder shall be punishable for the first offence with fine [of one thousand rupees] and for any second or subsequent offence with imprisonment which may extend to six months, or with fine [of two thousand rupees], or with both
Publication, commencement and laying of rules and notifications. - (1) The power to make rules under this Act is subject to the condition of the rules being made after previous publication
