In section 3 of the principal Act, in sub-section (2), for the words "notwithstanding any other provision of this Act", the words "notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, the Aadhaar number of a child shall, at the request of the parent or guardian of the child, be cancelled in such manner as may be specified by regulations, on attaining the age of eighteen years" shall be substituted.
