In section 2 of the principal Act,—

(a) after clause (a), the following clauses shall be inserted, namely:—

"(aa) 'Aadhaar ecosystem' includes enrolling agencies, Registrars, requesting entities, offline verification-seeking entities and any other entity or group of entities as may be specified by regulations;"

"(ab) 'Adjudicating Officer' means an Adjudicating Officer appointed under sub-section (1) of section 33B;"

"(ac) 'Appellate Tribunal' means the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal referred to in section 33C;"

(b) after clause (d), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:—

"(da) 'offline verification' means the process of verifying the identity of the Aadhaar number holder without authentication, through such mode as may be specified by regulations;"
