If any person who is adjudged a bankrupt under this Part—
- does not disclose, or conceals, to the bankruptcy trustee any property which forms part of the estate of the bankrupt; or
- does not deliver all the property, books, papers and records under his possession or control to the bankruptcy trustee; or
- conceals any debt or liability due from him; or
- fraudulently removes any property of a value exceeding five hundred rupees which forms part of the estate of the bankrupt; or
- conceals, destroys, mutilates, or falsifies, or is privy to the concealment, destruction, mutilation or falsification of any book or paper affecting or relating to his property or affairs; or
- makes or is privy to the making of any false entry in any book or paper relating to his property or affairs; or
- fraudulently parts with, alters or makes any omission in any document affecting or relating to his property or affairs; or
- after the presentation of the application for a bankruptcy order, prevents the production of any book, paper or record affecting or relating to his property or affairs,
he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than three years but which may extend to five years, or with fine which shall not be less than three lakh rupees but which may extend to five lakh rupees, or with both.
