(1) On the passing of a discharge order—

1. all the restrictions imposed on the bankrupt under section 128 shall cease to have effect;
2. the bankruptcy trustee shall be released from his obligations as bankruptcy trustee.

(2) The discharge order shall not affect the functions of the bankruptcy trustee which remain to be carried out.
