- Every officer of the [Government] [This word was substituted for the word 'Crown' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] and every officer or servant of local authority, shall be [legally bound to assist any Prohibition Officer or] [These words were substituted for the words 'legally bound to assist any' by Bombay 22 of 1960, Section 88 (a).] police officer or person authorised in this behalf in carrying out the provisions of this Act.
