- Notwithstanding anything contained in [Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974)], an offence of consumption of any intoxicant or hemp specified in clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 66, may be tried by the Magistrate having jurisdiction either at the place in which the offence was actually committed or at any place in the State in which the offender may be found.]
