The Kerala Land Reforms (Amendment) Act, 1969 (Kerala Act 35 of 1969).
The Kerala Land Reforms (Amendment) Act, 1971 (Kerala Act 25 of 1971). [ Editorial Comment -The Constitution (Twenty-Ninth Amendment) Act, 1972, which aimed to expand the ninth schedule of the Indian Constitution, included laws from Kerala focused on land reform. Specifically, it added two acts to the schedule: the Kerala Land Reforms (Amendment) Act, 1969 (Kerala Act 35 of 1969) and the Kerala Land Reforms (Amendment) Act, 1971 (Kerala Act 25 of 1971). However, the legality of the 29th Amendment was challenged in a case brought by a petitioner whose land was subject to seizure under Kerala's Land Reforms. The petitioner also questioned the validity of the 24th and 25th Constitutional Amendments, which they claimed impacted their fundamental rights. This case led to the development of the idea of the fundamental structure of the Constitution. Ultimately, seven judges out of 13 ruled in favor of upholding the legitimacy of the 29th Amendment, although its validity was not upheld completely. The Tripura Land Revenue and Land Reforms (Second Amendment) Act, 1974 (Tripura Act 7 of 1974). [The Constitution (Thirty-Fourth Amendment) Act, 1974, remains an important milestone in the evolution of Indian democracy. The amendment brought about significant changes to the constitutional framework of the country, particularly with respect to the powers of the Parliament to amend the Constitution and the rights of the citizens. These proposals were about the removal of exemptions, the reduction of the maximum on land holdings, and the application of a ceiling based on the amount of land owned by a family. The Amendment added 20 more state laws (New entries 67 to 86) dealing with land reforms and ceilings to the Ninth Schedule in order to make it clear that these laws cannot be challenged on the grounds that they conflict with any sections of Part III of the Constitution’s Fundamental Rights clause. Also Refer ] [In the Ninth Schedule to the Constitution, after entry 86 and before the Explanation, the following entries shall be inserted through Constitution (Thirty-Ninth Amendment) Act, 1975] [ Editorial comment -The Constitution (Thirty-Ninth Amendment) Act, 1975, The amendment modified Schedule 9 of the Indian constitution. Also Refer ]

This amendment may have taken away the scope of speedy remedy under Article 32 for the violation of Right to Property because it is no more a Fundamental Right. Making it a legal right under the Constitution serves two purposes: Firstly, it gives emphasis to the value of socialism included in the preamble and secondly, in doing so, it conformed to the doctrine of basic structure of the Constitution. The Mahe Land Reforms Act, 1968 (Pondicherry Act 1 of 1968)
The Mahe Land Reforms (Amendment) Act, 1980 (Pondicherry Act 1 of 1981) [ Editorial comment -The Constitution (Sixty-sixth Amendment) Act, 1990, was enacted in 1990 by amending the 9th schedule, which was added by the 1st Amendment and established by Article 31B. According to the 9th schedule, all the Central and State laws in the list cannot face legal challenges. As per this amendment of the Indian constitution Act, 55 land reforms were included in the 9th schedule by various States to protect them from judicial scrutiny. Considering the fact that amendment to Acts currently in the Ninth Schedule is also not exempt from the judicial challenge, some modifying Acts are also recommended to be incorporated into the Ninth Schedule. By including them in the 9th Schedule to the Constitution, the Act shields 55 State acts relating to land reforms and caps on agricultural land holdings that were passed by the States of Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and administration of the Union Territory of Puducherry from legal challenge. Also Refer]

It deals with reserving seats in educational institutions and appointments or posts in state-run services for members of backward classes, scheduled castes, and scheduled tribes. On November 16, 1992, the Supreme Court of India established a ceiling of 50% on the total percentage of reservations permitted under Article 16(4) of the Constitution. Also Refer]

This amendment gives immunity to legal challenges being faced in the court of law, meaning that laws present in the 9th schedule of the Indian Constitution cannot be challenged in court. The Constitution (1st Amendment) Act of 1951 added 13 statutes that could not be challenged in court even if they violated individuals' basic rights. Later revisions added 284 laws to the Indian Constitution's ninth schedule, which cannot be contested. Also Refer] Explanation.- Any acquisition made under the Rajasthan Tenancy Act, 1955 (Rajasthan Act III of1955), in contravention of the second proviso to clause (1) of article 31 A shall, to the extent of the contravention, be void.
