If the holder of a permit ceases to reside or to have his place of business, as the case may be, at the address set forth in the permit he shall within fourteen days of such cessation send Part A of the permit to the Transport Authority by which the permit was issued intimating the new address.

Upon receipt of intimation under sub-rule (1), the Regional Transport Authority or the State Transport Authority, as the case may be, shall, after making such enquiries as the Authority deems fit, enter in the permit the new address and shall intimate the particulars to the Transport Authority of any region in which the permit is valid by reason of the counter-signature or otherwise.
