Charitable and Hindu Religious Ins;titutions and Endowments Act, 1987, the competent authorities had issued proceedings informing the founder fan'tily members --- sN,l W.P, No.22685 of 2026
about the abolition of such rights. Although the proceedings dated 19.04.1996 were challenged in W.P. No.93B0 of 1996, the said writ petition was dismissed for default on 12.02.2004 and the order attained finality. Despite the same, the petitloner contends that the respondent authorities have failed to implement the said proceedings by constituting a lawful Managing Committee for the temple and, instead, have continued to permit ceftain founder famlly members to manage the affairs of the temple by suppressing material facts and misusing the temple administration. Aggrieved by the inaction of the authorities despite the petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2026, the present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of Mandamus declaring such inaction as illegal, arbitrary and violative of the provisions of the Endowments Act and the principles of natural justice, with a consequential direction to constitute a duly authorized Managing Committee for the temple.
