Satapathy, J. 1. Since these two bail applications arise out of one and same case record, the same are heard together and disposed of by this common order with the consent of the learned counsel for the parties. 2. These are the bail applications U/S.483 of BNSS by the petitioners for grant of bail in connection with Satyabadi PS Case No.129 of 2026 corresponding to ST Case No.336 of 2026 (GR Case BLAPL Nos.5551 & 6195 of 2026 Page 1 of 4 No.337 of 2026) pending in the file of learned Sessions Judge, Puri, for commission of offences punishable U/Ss.126(2)/ 115(2)/ 117(2)/ 118(1)/ 109(1)/ 3(5) of BNS, on the main allegation of attempting to the life of the injured Chintamani Mahapatra by giving a sword blow.
3. Heard, Mr. Anupam Rath, learned counsel for the petitioner in BLAPL No.5551 of 2026; Mr. Sambeet Pattanayak, learned counsel appearing virtually for the petitioners in BLAPL No.6195 of 2026 and Mr. R.B. Mishra, learned Additional Public Prosecutor in the matter and perused the record. 4. After having considered the rival submissions upon perusal of record, there appears not only allegation against the petitioner-Bibek Baral for giving blow to the injured by means of a sword, but also he is having one more criminal case, whereas the other petitioners are only present at the spot and in the meantime, charge-sheet has already been submitted, however, the final injury report of BLAPL Nos.5551 & 6195 of 2026 Page 2 of 4 the injured is yet to be submitted. In view of the aforesaid facts and situation and taking into account the pre-trial detention of the petitioners in custody keeping in view the main allegation being directed against the petitioner-Bibek Baral, this Court without expressing any view on merits, admits the petitioners Manmath Pradhan in BLAPL No.5551 of 2026 and Bikram Baral & Sudhira Routray in BLAPL No.6195 of 2026 to bail, while refusing to grant bail to the petitioner-Bibek Baral in BLAPL No.6195 of 2026.
5. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner-Bibek Baral in BLAPL No.6195 of 2026 stands rejected, whereas the prayer for bail of the petitioners Manmath Pradhan in BLAPL No.5551 of 2026 and Bikram Baral & Sudhira Routray in BLAPL No.6195 of 2026 stand allowed and each of these three petitioners is allowed to go on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-five Thousand) with one solvent surety for the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Court in BLAPL Nos.5551 & 6195 of 2026 Page 3 of 4 seisin of the case on such terms and conditions as deem fit and proper by it. 6.
