- Subject to the provisions of sections 74, 75, 76 and 77 and subject to the Rules made in this behalf, a registered society may appoint such paid officers and servants as are necessary for the efficient performance of its functions: Provided that the qualifications for the appointment of paid officers and servants, the conditions of service including disciplinary control and the cadre strength of such officers and servants of a registered society or class or category of registered societies shall be such as may be prescribed.
Explanation I. - For the purposes of this Chapter "paid officers " does not include the President, Vice-President and the members of the board.
Explanation II. - For the purposes of this Chapter and other provisions of this Act, "competent authority " means the competent authority constituted under sub-section (3) of section 75 and includes the single officer referred to in the proviso to the said sub-section (3) of section 75.
