- No spirits shall be received into any of warehouses unless accompanied by a pass from the officer-in-charge of the distillery or of the warehouse from which they have been transferred, or, if the spirits be imported by a permit from an officer duly authorized to grant permits for the transported spirits. All spirits received into warehouses shall be gauged and proved on arrival, and the contractor shall thereupon become responsible under Rule 197 of these Rules for the quantity and strength of the same.
