. The court. - (1) The Court shall consist of the following members, namely:-
Vice-Chancellor;
The Director of Studies, Educational Innovations and Rural Reconstruction;
The Director of Culture and Cultural Relations;
The Director of Physical Education, Sports, National Service and Student Welfare;
Two Deans of Schools to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor by rotation according to seniority;
Ten Heads of the Departments of the University to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor by rotation according to seniority;
Registrar;
Librarian;
Finance Officer;
Two Professors of the University who are not Deans of Schools, Two Readers, who are not Heads of Departments of the University and two Lectures to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor by rotation according to seniority;
Five Principals / Directors of the Colleges / Institutions admitted to the privileges of the University to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor by rotation;
[ Two members of the Parliament, one to be nominated by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and one by Chairman of the Rajya Sabha; [Amended with approval of the Visitor vide MHRD letter No. F.21-13/2001-Desk (U)(A), dt. 29.10.2001]
"Provided that if the nominated Member(s) as in clause (xii) above becomes a Minister or Speaker Deputy Speaker, Lok Sabha or Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha, his/her nomination shall be deemed to have been terminated ".]
Ten persons representing learned professions and special interests including representatives of Industry, Commerce, Labour, Banking, Agriculture, etc., to be nominated by the Visitor;
One person of distinction from Public life to be nominated by the Chancellor:
Two eminent educationists to be nominated by the Chief Rector on the recommendations of the Vice-Chancellor;
[ A representative each of SC/ST, Minorities, Women and Persons with Disabilities shall be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor as members, from within or outside the University. No employee of the University or of a College/ Institution admitted to the privileges of the University or recognized by or associated with the University shall be eligible to become a member under items (xiii). (xiv) and (xv).
(3)
An ex-officio member shall cease to be a member of the Court as soon as he vacates the office by virtue of which he is such a member.
(4)
All the members of the Court other than the ex-officio members shall hold office for a term of three years.
