(1) The person who immediately before the appointed day is the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council of Bombay shall be the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council of Maharashtra. (2) As soon as may be after the completion of the biennial elections referred to in section 24, the Legislative Council of Maharashtra shall choose one of its members to be the Chairman thereof.
