(1) The collector may place any assistant commissioner in charge of a sub-division and may remove him therefrom. (2) The assistant commissioner so placed in charge shall be sailed a sub-divisional officer and shall, subject to the control of the collector, exercise all the powers conferred, and discharge all the duties imposed, upon the sub-divisional officer by this Act, or any rules made thereunder.
