(a) any restrictive trade practice-

(b) any monopolistic trade practice, upon a reference made to it by the Central Government [or upon an application made to it by the Director-General] [ Inserted by Act 58 of 1991, Section 3 (w.r.e.f. 27.9.1991).] or upon its own knowledge or information.
