- If any mine or part thereof, which in the opinion of the Chief Controller of Mines or the Controller of Mines or the Regional Controller of Mines poses a grave and immediate threat to the conservation of minerals or to environment or to the sustainable development of the mine, he may, by an order in writing to the holder of a mining lease, require him to take such measures as may be specified in the order and may prohibit, until the requirements as specified in the order are complied with to his satisfaction, the deployment of any person other than those required for compliance with the requirement of the order:
Provided that in respect of minerals specified in Part B of the First Schedule to the Act, where the grade of such atomic minerals is equal to or above the threshold value limits declared under Schedule-A of the Atomic Minerals Concession Rules, 2016, the Director, Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research shall issue orders in this regard.
