The State Police Chief shall subject to the directions of the Government, fix and codify the maximum and minimum disciplinary penalties for misconduct of a similar nature: Provided that under any circumstances if a penalty different from the one as codified is to be imposed it shall be done with the approval of the State Police Chief.
