(1)

The State Government may by notification, make rules to carry out the purposes of this Act.

(2)

In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, rules made under sub-section (1) may provide in respect of the health and safety and welfare of employees.

(3)

In making rules under this section, the State Government may provide that a contravention of any rule shall be punishable with a fine which may extend to [ten thousand rupees] [Substituted by Act 12 of 2007.]

(4)

The power to make rules conferred by this section is subject to the condition of the rules being made after previous publication.
