The Government may appoint for each battalion a Commandant who shall be a person of the rank of a Superintendent and Assistant Commandments of the rank of Deputy Superintendents.

The Commandant, the Assistant Commandant, and every such other officer so appointed shall have and may exercise such powers and authority as may be provided by or under this Act.
