(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Code or any other law for the time being in force, the Adjudicating Authority, on an application by a resolution professional or liquidator or bankruptcy trustee, as the case may be, may issue a letter of request to a court or an authority of a country outside India for evidence or action relating to assets, property or information relevant to the proceedings under this Code.

(2) On receipt of a letter of request from a court or authority of a country outside India, the Adjudicating Authority shall deal with such request in such manner as may be prescribed.
