(1) On the passing of the bankruptcy order—
- the estate of the bankrupt shall vest in the bankruptcy trustee;
- the bankrupt shall be divested of his estate.
(2) During the period of the bankruptcy order—
- any pending legal action or legal proceeding in respect of any debt shall be deemed to have been stayed;
- the creditors of the bankrupt shall not initiate any legal action or proceedings in respect of any debt;
- the bankrupt shall not transfer, alienate, charge or encumber his assets;
- the bankrupt shall not act as a director of any company or directly or indirectly take part in or be concerned in the promotion, formation or management of a company;
- the bankrupt shall not be appointed or act as a trustee or representative of any creditor; and
- the bankrupt shall not be eligible to be appointed as an insolvency professional under this Code.
