Any person aggrieved by an order of suspension or cancellation or refusal of authorisation or its renewal passed by the State Pollution Control Board may, within a period of thirty days from the date on which the order is communicated to him, prefer an appeal in Form 12 to the Appellate Authority, namely, the Environment Secretary of the State.

The Appellate Authority may entertain the appeal after expiry of the said period of thirty days, if it is satisfied that the appellant was prevented by sufficient cause from filing the appeal in time.

Every appeal filed under this rule shall be disposed of within a period of sixty days from the date of its filing.
