This Act may be called the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.

It extends to the whole of India.

It shall come into force on such [date] [2-8-1976 : vide Notification No. G.S.R. 492 (E), dated 31-7-1976. ] as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
