(1) No person shall be detained in the civil prison in execution of a decree unless and until the decree-holder pays into Court such monthly sum as the Court considers sufficient for the subsistence of the judgment-debtor, computed in accordance with the provisions of the rules relating to subsistence-allowance.

(2) If the decree-holder fails to pay the subsistence-allowance, the judgment-debtor shall be released.
