- Whenever the Central Government directs by order issued under sub-section (3) of section 58 of the Act that the provisions of that sub-section shall apply in a particular locality for vehicles of a particular type with such modifications as may be specified in that order, the registering authority may either by general or individual notice require the owners of the vehicles of the particular locality and the particular type to produce the certificate of registration within such time as may be specified in the notice for revision of the entries therein of the particulars relating to the gross vehicle weight in such a manner as may be stated in the notice on payment of difference of fees if any, subject to the provisions of sub-section (4) of section 58 of the Act.
