(1)

An appeal under this rule shall be preferred in the form of a memorandum in duplicate, one copy of which shall bear the court fee of twenty five rupees, setting forth concisely the grounds of objection to the order of the licensing authority and shall be accompanied by a certified copy of the order appealed against.

When an appeal is lodged, a notice shall issue to the authority against whose order the appeal is preferred in such form as the appellate authority may direct.

(3)

The appellate authority may after giving an opportunity to the parties to be heard and after such enquiry, if any, as it may deem necessary, confirm, vary or set aside the order against which the appeal is preferred or make any amendment consequential thereto which may be just and proper and shall make an order accordingly.

(4)

The court-fee referred to in sub-rule (1) shall not be refundable in any case.

(5)

The provisions of section 5 of the Limitation Act, 1963 shall apply to appeals under this rule.
