The Director-General and Inspector-General throughout the State and the Commissioner in the area for which he is appointed, shall subject to the orders of the State Government, have authority to investigate and regulate all matters of account connected with the Police in the State in the area, as the case may be, and all persons concerned shall be bound to give him reasonable aid and facilities in conducting such investigations and to conform to his orders consequent thereto.
