143. Security for unexpired period of bond.
(1) When a surety to a bond or bail bond under this Chapter becomes insolvent or dies, or when any bond is forfeited under the provisions of section 446, the Court by whose order such bond was taken, or a Magistrate of the first class, may order the person from whom such security was demanded to give, for the unexpired portion of the term for which such security was originally required, fresh security of the same description, or if that security was of the nature specified in section 136, then of that nature or by a fresh bond.
(2) Every such order shall be made as nearly as may be in the manner hereinbefore provided for making the original order of security under the relevant section.
