(1)

Every person who, whether before or after the commencement of this Act, has discovered or discovers that uranium or thorium occurs at any place in India shall, within three months after the date of commencement of this Act or after the discovery, whichever is later, report the discovery in writing to the Central Government or to any person or authority authorised by the Central Government in this behalf.

(2)

Every person who has reason to believe that uranium or thorium occurs at any place in India, shall without delay, send intimation of such belief and the reasons therefor to the Central Government or to any such person or authority as aforesaid.
