(1) The Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, make rules for carrying out the purposes of this Act.
(2) In particular, and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:—
- the form and contents of the notice of intention to declare an ancient monument to be a protected monument and the manner of serving such notice;
- the form of agreement of maintenance;
- the terms and conditions of licences to excavate;
- the form in which applications for permission to erect buildings in protected areas and the levy of fee for such applications may be made;
- any other matter which is required to be, or may be, prescribed.
