(1)
No person other than a licensed plumber shall execute any work described in this Chapter, [(other than the provision of a lock and key)] and no person shall permit any such work to be executed except by a licensed plumber.

Every person who employs a licensed plumber to execute any such work shall, when so required, furnish to the Commissioner the name of such plumber.
(3)
[ Where any person causes or permits any pipe, cistern or fitting or other work necessary for conveying a private supply of water from a municipal water work into any premises to be laid, applied or executed in contravention of sub-section (1), he shall, in addition to being liable to the penalty prescribed for such contravention, not be entitled to an independent or branch connection, until the defects, if any, in such pipe, cistern, fitting or work are removed to the satisfaction of the Commissioner.] [This sub-section was substituted for the original by Bombay 5 of by 1938, Section 36(2).]]
