(1)

Every licence, written permission, notice, bill, schedule, summons or other document required by this Act or by any regulation or by-law framed under this Act to bear the signature of the Commissioner [or the General Manager] [These words were inserted by Bombay 48 of 1948, Section 48(i).] or of any municipal officer shall be deemed to be properly signed if it bears a fascimile of the signature of the Commissioner [or the General Manager] [These words were inserted by Bombay 48 of 1948, Section 48(i).] or of such municipal officer, as the case may be, stamped thereon.

(2)

Nothing in this section shall be deemed to apply to a cheque drawn upon the municipal fund under section 113 [or upon the [Brihan Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport Fund] [This portion was added by Bombay 48 of 1948, Section 48(ii).] under section 460BB, or sub-section (3) of section 460KK, or sub-section (4) of section 460LL].
